High-performance, mission-focused human-machine interfaces.

We help defence system integrators turn complex vehicle, sensor and mission data into intuitive, modular, high-performance operator interfaces.

PARADOX CAT brings proven experience developing high-quality graphical software for premium car manufacturers’ series production to military vehicles, autonomous systems and training. We build for what matters to crews and operators: mission execution time, operator error rate, cognitive load, response time and computing-resource use.

Capabilities and track record

  • HMI software for premium car manufacturers’ series production.
  • Android/AOSP platform engineering and embedded graphics.
  • Real-time 3D with Unreal Engine and Unity: game-engine technology in series products.
  • HMI development with Qt and Ramses, and with GL Studio, DiSTI’s toolkit for certifiable displays (DO-178C up to Level A, ISO 26262 up to ASIL D).
  • AR development for head-up displays with Rocksolid AR, Basemark’s AR toolset.
  • In-cabin sensing: sensor fusion for occupant monitoring, and gesture control.
  • Digital twins, both for realistic visualisation and for physical simulation.
  • SimReady 3D assets and simulation environments for AI training.
  • First defence work: an AR/HUD concept for mounted soldiers, developed with a European technology partner.

What We Bring to Defence Programmes

We focus on the human-machine interaction layer and work alongside our partners’ command-and-control and autonomy software. For programmes built on modular open-systems approaches such as MOSA, NGVA or VICTORY, we develop the HMI layer against the platform’s interface specifications. UX and interaction design is available together with a specialised design partner.

MISSION SYSTEMS & OPERATOR EXPERIENCE

Clear interfaces and workflows for consoles, crew stations and connected platforms. We help operators locate important information, understand system status and complete tasks with less friction. For armoured and tactical vehicles: driving displays, navigation, vehicle status, camera views and alerts in one crew interface, with day and night modes, alert prioritisation and multiple display configurations.

SIMULATION AND TRAINING CONTENT

Digital twins, simulation-ready assets and interactive environments that support preparation, testing and training: driving and operator-station simulators, 3D tactical terrain, scenario visualisation, and replay and debriefing views for after-action review. Our contribution is content, visualisation and operator experience.

GROUND CONTROL INTERFACES FOR DRONES AND UNCREWED SYSTEMS

Mission, route, live video, link status and autonomy level in one operator view, from a single drone to several uncrewed systems, with a clear handover to manual control.

OPERATER INTERFACES FOR AI-ASSISTED SYSTEMS

We build the interfaces through which AI-generated information reaches the operator, presenting detections, confidence, uncertainty, recommendations and required actions so they can be checked, confirmed or overridden quickly.

IN-CABIN SENSING AND SENSOR FUSION

Inputs from cameras and other sensors are combined and translated into useful interface behaviour: occupant monitoring, gesture control and context-aware interfaces, as the basis for crew stations that adapt to fatigue and workload.

REAL-TIME 3D AND DIGITAL TWINS

Interactive 3D experiences that communicate platform configuration, component status, spatial context and changing conditions, across embedded and desktop systems.

CUSTOM 3D AND HMI TOOLING

Bespoke tools and pipelines for creating, reviewing and managing HMI and 3D content, including visual editors, asset conversion, variant handling and quality checks.

HOW WE WORK

• PROOF OF CONCEPT FIRST: 4–8 weeks on your problem, measured against your current baseline.

• WORK PACKAGES: defined scope, delivered by an experienced team.

• DEDICATED TEAMS: long-term capacity for your programme, including build-operate-transfer models.

SCOPE

We complement programme partners. Certification, autonomy stacks and complete training systems stay with them; we deliver the operator experience, visualisation and content within their programmes.

CERTIFICATIONS

EUROPEAN ENGINEERING

ISO 9001 certified and TISAX AL3 assessed in Germany and Romania. AL3 is TISAX’s highest assessment level, with information-security requirements built on ISO/IEC 27001.

Development in Munich, Germany and Bucharest, Romania: European engineering for European programmes.
