The in-cabin experience has become more intelligent in recent years, due to the greater computing power and modern sensors that are being introduced in the cabin, like interior cameras, mmWave radars or ultrawideband sensors. Using cutting-edge AI technologies, we are taking advantage of all these new sensors to improve safety and comfort for drivers and passengers. The new possibilities also pave the way to realize new multimodal Human-Machine Interaction (HMI) concepts incorporating hand tracking, gesture recognition, gaze detection and voice assistants.
In 2020, we created a new division called PARADOX AI with a focus on AI and ML as an addition to our already established HMI software development business, with the goal of transforming in-cabin experiences together with our clients.
In 2023, we introduced the AI study club at PARADOX CAT, as a platform for our developers to learn about the newest discoveries in Machine Learning and AI fields, and to work together on internal research and prototypes in this field. For instance, we apply Generative AI, to evaluate its potential for future applications within automotive HMI and beyond.
We strongly believe that AI/ML technology will have the greatest impact on in-car experiences and everyone’s lives in the future. Today, we enable our customers to develop prototypes in this field, based on cutting-edge research in Deep Learning and Computer Vision.
Working with frameworks like PyTorch, OpenCV, JAX or TensorFlow and platforms like Azure Machine Learning is our daily bread and butter. Combined with our expertise in Machine Learning algorithms, different types of sensors and associated signal processing algorithms, as well as series development of automotive HMI systems, we can support our clients with the entire Machine Learning pipeline from data collection and labeling through model development and training to bringing AI applications into production for use cases like:
We offer customized and platform agnostic software development for driver monitoring systems (DMS) and occupant monitoring systems (OMS) tailored to your use cases.
